Student Support and Outreach

Student Affairs and Outreach at the University of Saskatchewan and the College of Nursing have partnered to provide Nursing students with direct support from a Student Support and Outreach Coordinator. In order to access this support, you must be a College of Nursing student.

What type of support is offered?

Immediate practical support, education, coaching, mentorship, crisis intervention and management, wellness support and advising, problem-solving, resource navigation, referrals to on and off-campus resources, and ongoing follow-up care.

What types of situations can the Student Support and Outreach Coordinator assist with?

  • helping students in distress or crisis
  • students who would benefit from general wellness advising and support
  • students who are experiencing thoughts/behaviours of suicide
  • students who are hospitalized for any reason
  • students who are experiencing something difficult and complex and need help.

The Student Support and Outreach Coordinator also provides support to College of Nursing staff and faculty who are concerned about a student. This is not an exhaustive list, so please click here to learn more about all available services.

The Student Support and Outreach Coordinator is available in office 1A50.5, Health Sciences Building Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm by scheduled appointment. Please book two consecutive thirty-minute appointments to ensure you have enough time.
