Celebrating Students & Donors at Annual Awards Ceremony

Undergraduate and graduate nursing students celebrate at annual College of Nursing Awards Ceremony.

Undergraduate and graduate nursing students were honoured for work well done at the recent College of Nursing Awards Ceremony. On November 16th at Prairieland Park, students and their families came together with donors and celebrated more than 100 scholarships and awards, totaling just over $215,000.

Dr. Diane Campbell, Assistant Professor at the Regina Campus, is Chair of the Scholarship and Awards Committee at the College of Nursing. “On behalf of the Committee, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the generous donors for their support of our future nurses and nurse leaders in Saskatchewan. We also offer our congratulations to the students, often with the support of their family and friends, who have worked diligently to achieve success in a number of categories and as a result, are recipients of our donors’ support.”

“Our nursing students can’t do it alone, but with the help of our donors, students are able to pursue their dreams of post-secondary education,” said College of Nursing Interim Dean Dr. Lois Berry. “Having our students meet donors at the awards ceremony is a very special opportunity. I am sad to have missed the ceremony this year, as it’s one of my favourite events. Students are forever grateful to their donors and it’s so wonderful when donors get to see their donation having an everlasting impact.”

Congratulations to all our students who received awards this year and thank you once again to our very kind donors.  For a complete list of the 2019 award recipients, click here.
