College of Nursing Scholars Set to Travel to Mbarara, Uganda

The University of Saskatchewan Queen Elizabeth 11 Diamond Jubilee Scholarship, supports 12 Canadian students to study for up to one year at a Commonwealth partner University.

This year, six College of Nursing students are set to travel to Mbarara, Uganda.

Nursing students will participate, alongside students from pharmacy, nutrition and veterinary medicine, in an Interdisciplinary Leadership and Community Placement at the Mbarara University of Science and Technology. The project work will focus on Community Partnership for Food Security and Health.

"This year's competition was very competitive making the selection process difficult," said Susan Fowler-Kerry, Professor College of Nursing. "Since its inception, the College of Nursing has and continues to comprise most of the candidates selected for this award."

Congratulations to this year's scholars; Richele Berzolla, Joline Hoyseth, Danya Pinel, Carrie Pratt, Brooklyn Rain, Britany Shymaski and Montana Zacharias - on their success.
