Sandra Bassendowski Receives GMCTE Faculty Fellowship Appointment

The College of Nursing is extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Sandra Bassendowski has been appointed as a University of Saskatchewan Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching Effectiveness (GMCTE) Faculty Fellow for 2015/2016.

Since 2014, the GMCTE has offered annual Faculty Fellowship appointments. The Fellowships allow the work of the GMCTE to be directly informed by Faculty and provide opportunity for Faculty to contribute to key areas of strategic work in teaching and learning for the institution. The Fellows work collaboratively with staff in the Centre, as well as stakeholders from across the University to progress strategic work.

“I have always been involved with the GMCTE in some capacity since I started with the College of Nursing in 2003,” said Bassendowski. “This appointment is a great opportunity and I look forward to working with staff on key initiatives related to learning technologies.”

Nancy Turner, Program Director for the Gwenna Moss Centre, had this to say about the appointment. “Sandra was approached for this role because of her experience, scholarship and passion for use of technology to facilitate student learning; therefore, she will be contributing in the area of learning technologies throughout the upcoming academic year.”
