College of Nursing Presents the 2015 Media Award

The College of Nursing recognizes the media as an important partner to help us spread our message and extend our reach.

We know media outlets are overwhelmed with news stories every day and must make tough decisions about what stories to cover. When the College of Nursing receives media coverage, it is an honour. It means we have been recognized as making a difference in the communities where we are located.

The Extending Our Reach media award is an opportunity for the College of Nursing to acknowledge and say thank you to a media partner who has gone above and beyond to provide a positive profile for the College of Nursing. On August 18, Marketing and Communications Specialist Susan Savino presented the 2015 Extending Our Reach media award to John Lagimodiere of Eagle Feather News.

Eagle Feather News is a monthly aboriginal newspaper circulated throughout Saskatchewan. It has been and will continue to be one of the most valuable communication tools the College of Nursing uses to share our achievements and recruit students in Saskatchewan’s First Nations and Metis communities. Over the past year John has gone out of his way to include stories about the UCAN launch and our first northern graduates, just to name a few.

The College of Nursing thanks John for the time and effort he has put forth to profile the College of Nursing over the past year.
