Regina Campus Open House a Success

Prospective students, friends of the college and the general public were invited to the Regina Campus for an Open House on March 14th.

Hosted as a come-and-go event between 1 and 7 PM, visitors received a short campus tour and had an opportunity to meet the University of Saskatchewan College of Nursing Dean, faculty and staff.

For prospective students who were interested in applying, stations were set up with academic advisors to help them complete an online application. Students who completed an application during the Open House were entered to win a $1,000 tuition bursary, automatically applied to their student account, upon successful registration at the Regina Campus in September 2013.

"The Open House was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our site in Regina. We hosted a grand opening celebration in November, but until recently some areas of the building were still undergoing renovations," said College of Nursing Associate Dean Southern Saskatchewan Campus Dr. Lynn Jansen. She went on to say, "We are absolutely pleased with the final design of the new site and so excited to offer the space and new program to our students here in Regina."

"Approximately one hundred people attended the Open House, so we were delighted with the turnout," said College of Nursing Recruitment Strategist Della Stumborg. "It was a great opportunity to meet with prospective students, tell them about our program, explain the admission process and answer any questions in a one-on-one setting."

The University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus, home to the College of Nursing, is located at 4400-4th Avenue in Regina, SK. At this location, there are 115 undergraduate nursing seats available each year.
