Construction Surrounding Our Regina Campus

There is currently construction surrounding the College of Nursing Regina Campus leaving people to wonder if we are moving, but rest assured, we are here to stay.

The University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus is currently surrounded by construction, leaving people wondering if the College of Nursing is moving elsewhere in Regina. Rest assured - we are here to stay.

The campus (4400 - 4th Avenue) is located at Lewvan Crossing (formerly the Orr Centre) where crews started demolition in September. Several structures at Lewvan Crossing, which was once home to the Canadian Bible College and then the Western Christian College, are being torn down to make way for a 100,000 square foot commercial property.

Although the main building, including the George Reed auditorium, will be removed from the site, the University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus has commitment from the developers that our building, which will now stand alone, will be unaffected by the change.

“As a result of the ongoing construction around us, we have had a number of inquiries as to whether or not we will be continuing our programming in Regina,” says Professional Academic Advisor Maxine Newton. “Our site itself is not under construction and we remain committed to offering our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program here at this campus. In fact, I encourage all prospective students to visit the campus for a tour and think about applying for our nursing program, as registration for the 2020-2021 academic year begins right away.”
