Student Support and Outreach
Student Affairs and Outreach at the University of Saskatchewan and the College of Nursing have partnered to provide Nursing students with direct support from a Student Support and Outreach Coordinator. In order to access this support, you must be a College of Nursing student.
What type of support is offered?
Immediate practical support, education, coaching, mentorship, crisis intervention and management, wellness support and advising, problem-solving, resource navigation, referrals to on and off-campus resources, and ongoing follow-up care.
What types of situations can the Student Support and Outreach Coordinator assist with?
- helping students in distress or crisis
- students who would benefit from general wellness advising and support
- students who are experiencing thoughts/behaviours of suicide
- students who are hospitalized for any reason
- students who are experiencing something difficult and complex and need help.
