Types of Gifts

Student awards impact students and benefit communities. Whether honouring a family member or cultivating interest in a particular area of nursing, the College of Nursing would be pleased to help you create an award.

Create a dedicated bursary from your graduating class.

Planning for a bequest means you can support the exact area of nursing education and/or research most important to you - such as cancer research, rural nursing support, or children's wellness, etc.

Honour the memory of a loved one, recognize the legacy of a mentor, or celebrate the accomplishments of friends, colleagues, and family members. A memorial gift can be unrestricted or may be a designated gift.

The College of Nursing extends our sincerest sympathies to the family and friends of the following people who have passed away. A memorial gift has been given in each of their names. Their legacy will live on in the lives of nursing students, who have benefited from a scholarship or bursary supported by these gifts.

Many employers offer matching gift programs and will match contributions made by employees to non-profit and charitable organizations. If your company offers a matching program, we encourage you to participate to maximize your personal contribution and take advantage of the opportunity for your gift and impact to be doubled.

When someone makes a lasting impact in their life, you can choose to honour them by naming a gift in their name.

The extraordinary way in which the following people have approached their life and their profession has compelled their friends to honour them. Donations supporting nursing student scholarships and bursaries were given to the College of Nursing in their name.
