Biography

Carmen Dell is a Registered Nurse (RN) with a wide variety of nursing experience. She started her nursing career in Meadow Lake, SK, working throughout the hospital in Medicine, Surgery, Emergency, Labour and Delivery, and Postpartum departments.  When she moved to Saskatoon to pursue a master’s degree focusing on forensic mental health, she worked casually for Correctional Services Canada at the Regional Psychiatric Centre.  She currently strives to maintain frontline practice experience by working at St. Paul’s hospital.

Carmen’s Master’s Thesis is entitled “The Experience of Participants in the Saskatoon Mental Health Strategy Court”.  Her work brings a person-centered perspective to this specialty court which endeavors to partner with local health and social services to stabilize the health and wellbeing of people live with mental health conditions.
