Micro-Credential Launch
USask Nursing launches micro-credential - Management of Major Depressive Disorder in Adults.
In addition to undergraduate and graduate nursing education, the University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing is now offering a brand-new micro-credential.
Informed by the 2023 Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT) guidelines, NURS M01A, the Management of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in Adults: Clinical Update, equips learners to assess, diagnose, collaborate with the client and other members of the healthcare team to develop an individualized evidence informed treatment plan, and monitor treatment response and outcomes for individuals living with uncomplicated and complex MDD.
For many health and human service professionals, continuing professional development is a requirement of licensure and/or employment. This micro-credential satisfies continuing professional development requirements for a variety of health-related disciplines including nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses, pharmacists, social workers, addiction counsellors, and other healthcare providers.
This micro-credential is delivered asynchronously online within Canvas.
The first offering begins January 6th and runs until February 4th.
