Honouring three Huskie athletes from the College of Nursing for academic achievements.

The University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing would like to congratulate three nursing students who were honoured by Huskie Athletics on October 6th for more than what they contribute to their sport, but for their academic achievements.

  • Halle Krynowsky, Year 3 Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    Sport: Soccer
  • Hannah Lytle, Year 3 Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    Sport: Soccer
  • Taylor Schultz, Year 3 Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    Sport: Track and Field

The U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians are U SPORTS athletes who achieved at least an 80% average on a minimum of 18 credit units while using eligibility as a student athlete. In 2021-2022, 114 USask student athletes were named as U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians.

“The nursing program is difficult and time management is extremely important,” said College of Nursing dean Dr. Solina Richter (DCur). “For these student athletes to manage both their studies and sports, let alone excel in their nursing programs, is something to be celebrated. It was an honour to join the USask athletes at the Huskie Athletics U Sports Academic All-Canadians Breakfast, but a particular honour to celebrate these nursing students. Congratulations Halle, Hannah, and Taylor.”
