Betty Anne Ohrt Entrance Scholarship

Eligibility: Open to students entering their second year of the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Saskatchewan. Candidates must be registered in 30 credit units and have completed a Biology course attaining a minimum average of 75%. Selection will be based on academic excellence.

Brenda McCormick Weber Memorial Bursary

Eligibility: Open to students entering their second year of the four-year Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing program or in year one in the Post-Degree BSN at the University of Saskatchewan. Candidates must have achieved a minimum academic standard of at least 80%. To be eligible, students must demonstrate financial need. Submit evidence of financial need using the USask Financial Need Calculator.

Edith May Forrest Student Award in Nursing

Eligibility: Open to students entering their second year of the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to applicants whose hometown is in the area of Loreburn, SK (postal code area S0H 2S0). Applicants must have received their high school education outside of Saskatoon or Regina, achieved an entrance average of 75% and demonstrated significant community involvement, particularly volunteer involvement in health care. Applicants must submit a letter outlining their community involvement, particularly their volunteer involvement in healthcare, two letters of support from teachers or other leaders in the community that underline the student's community involvement and evidence of financial need using the USask Financial Need Calculator. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need and community involvement.

Nursing Degree '60 Bursary

EligibilityOpen to undergraduate Indigenous students in their first year of the BSN program in the College of Nursing. To be eligible, students must demonstrate financial need and self-declare to the university as a Metis, First Nations, or Inuit person of Canada​. Submit evidence of financial need using the USask Financial Need Calculator and proof of Indigenous ancestry.

The Mitchell Scholarship

Eligibility: Open to students entering their second year of the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Saskatchewan. Only students who have graduated from a high school outside of the province of Saskatchewan and are Canadian citizens will be eligible for this award. Selection will be based upon academic achievement, as determined by the Awards Committee. Submit proof of Canadian citizenship.

Saskatchewan Union of Nurses Trust Award

Eligibility: Open to students entering their second or third year in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Saskatchewan. To be eligible, students must demonstrate financial need. Selection will be based on financial need (75%) and academic achievement (25%). Weisdorff Annual Award in Nursing

Eligibility: Open to full-time students (years 2-4) in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and the Post-Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PDBSN) program at the University of Saskatchewan. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Saskatchewan or the Canadian Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut). To be considered a resident, the applicant must have lived in Saskatchewan and/or the Canadian Territories for 3 years immediately preceding the year in which the applicant is applying.
  • Demonstrate financial need (submit evidence of financial need using the USask Financial Need Calculator).
  • Have a minimum program average of 70%.

Applicants are welcome to provide a statement of a maximum 500 words that provides additional context to their need, which may include the challenges they face, or have overcome, in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
