If you have approval from another university, you are still required to obtain USask REB approval; however, you may be eligible for an expedited review.

Please submit the following information (as applicable) to the USask Ethics Office:

1. Evidence of external REB approval (i.e., a Certificate of Approval)
2. The approved REB application (from the institution where approval was granted)
3. Approved consent form(s)
4. Approved data collection tools (i.e., surveys, questionnaires, etc.)
5. Approved recruitment material(s) that will be used to advertise the study at USask

Upon receiving USask REB approval, contact the Office of the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies, College of Nursing, and submit the following information:

Request to Recruit College of Nursing Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, and Alumni as Research Participants:

1. An electronic copy of the research proposal (including protocol, surveys, interview guides, posters, etc.)
2. Ethics approvals from both the home Institution/University and the University of Saskatchewan. For USask researchers recruiting in the College of Nursing, only provide the USask REB Certificate of Approval.

Request to Recruit College of Nursing Senior Leaders, Executive Team Members, Faculty, and Staff as Research Participants:

1. The home Institution/University REB Certificate of Approval
2. The USask REB Letter of Acknowledgement. For USask researchers recruiting in the College of Nursing, only provide the USask REB Certificate of Approval.
