The Nursing Unit for Research and Scholarship Excellence (NURSE) offers a year-round calendar of research-focused events designed to support faculty, staff, and students at every stage of the research lifecycle. From foundational training and skill-building workshops to expert panels and distinguished lectures, our events foster research excellence, collaboration, and community.
Participants can register for individual sessions or attend multiple events throughout the year. Sessions are offered in both in-person and hybrid formats.

The Myrtle Crawford Memorial Lecture Series is a bi-annual distinguished lecture that celebrates excellence in nursing research and scholarship. This event features a nationally or internationally recognized speaker who shares insights on pressing issues, innovative methodologies, or emerging trends in nursing research and practice.

Research 101 seminars support researchers at all career stages by addressing key pre-award and post-award topics. Led by College of Nursing faculty and staff, these sessions provide practical guidance on funding applications, research administration, compliance, budgeting, publishing, and institutional supports available within the College of Nursing and the University of Saskatchewan. These seminars are ideal for individuals new to research and for experienced researchers seeking refreshers or updates.

Brown Bag Research Lunches are informal, interactive sessions that spotlight research administration, development tools, and specialized topics relevant to nursing research. Led by experts from across the USask community, these sessions encourage discussion, questions, and knowledge sharing in a relaxed learning environment.
Participants are welcome to bring their lunch and engage with presenters and peers.
