Tye Buettner RN, BSN, MN

Tye completed her nursing undergraduate degree at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) in 2017. Her first nursing position took her to Uganda, where she developed a passion for global and community health.

Upon returning to Saskatoon, she began practicing in the emergency department, where she continues to provide bedside care on a casual basis in both adult and paediatric emergency departments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while completing her Master of Nursing degree, she worked at nursing stations in remote communities throughout Yukon and the Northwest Territories.

Since 2021, her career has focused intently on undergraduate nursing education, specifically on topics surrounding supportive education, co-scholarship, safe learning spaces and inclusivity. She has a special interest in student learning environments related to community health and health promotion, high acuity and simulated learning and global health.
