Biography
Dr. Sattar received a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of New Brunswick. She completed her Master’s degree as well as PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Toronto. Her background is geriatrics and geriatric oncology. Dr. Sattar’s latest projects include a randomized controlled trial that investigates the efficacy of a remotely delivered resistance and balance training program on lower body strength, balance, and fall risks in community-dwelling older adults with cancer.
Dr. Sattar is a former vice-chair of the Nursing and Allied Health professionals group at the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) (2020-2022). Currently, she serves as the National Representative for Canada at the SIOG.
