Biography

Lindsey Goertz is an instructor at the University of Saskatchewan (USask), College of Nursing. Lindsey obtained her undergraduate degrees in psychology and nursing through the University of Saskatchewan. She worked as a registered nurse in inpatient mental health for nearly a decade before beginning the Master of Nursing program at USask. Lindsey began teaching for the College of Nursing in 2017.

Lindsey is passionate about mental health, community health, and Indigenization. Her final integrative exercise in the Master of Nursing program provided an opportunity to share the knowledge learned through the Indigenous partnerships built through unique clinical education placements in the Treaty 4 area. Lindsey is fortunate to have wise and well-respected Indigenous Elders support her learning and integration of Indigenous perspectives into nursing education.
