Biography

Kathy’s 43 years of nursing experience includes adult critical care, neonatal intensive care, general surgery, pediatrics, community, and obstetrical nursing. Since 1998, she has been teaching clinical and theory classes in medical surgical and pediatric settings. Kathy is pleased to act as a clinical teaching mentor to many faculty.

Research Interests

Kathy's research interests include:

  • Developing excellence in clinical instruction
  • The role of mentorship in clinical teaching and evaluation
  • The pedagogy of clinical teaching
  • Interprofessional clinical education
