Biography

Dr. Isik Andsoy completed her Bachelor’s, master, and Ph.D. education in nursing at Marmara University in Istanbul- Turkiye. She worked as an operating room nurse and supervisor nurse in the surgical unit in Istanbul. After that, Dr. Isik Andsoy worked as a research assistant in the College of Nursing in Marmara University. She became an Assistant Professor in 2010, an Associate Professor in 2018, and a full professor in 2014 in Faculty of Health Sciences at Karabuk University, Turkiye. She was an observer at the University of Chicago Illinois School of Nursing for 3 months in 2011. Dr. Isik Andsoy has been to Lithuania Klaipeda University Faculty of Health Sciences two times due to Erasmus Exchange Program in 2022 and 2024. She has also participated in several international and national meetings and congresses.

  • Discharge training methods (VR technology use)
  • Cancer (breast, colorectal) screening behaviors
  • Barriers in the Muslim cultures and global health
