Hilary Colborne BEd, MEd

Hilary Colborne is a Curriculum Specialist in the University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing, where she has supported curriculum development, academic policy, program evaluation, and accreditation initiatives since 2022. Her work focuses on fostering high-quality nursing education through evidence-informed curriculum design, continuous program improvement, and alignment with professional and accreditation standards.

Hilary holds both a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education from USask, as well as an Excellence in Public Sector Leadership Certificate from the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. Her educational background and professional experience have equipped her with a strong foundation in curriculum theory, educational leadership, and organizational effectiveness.

Working collaboratively with faculty, academic leaders, students, and external partners, Hilary supports curriculum innovation and quality assurance processes across the College. She plays a key role in accreditation activities, curriculum mapping, policy development, and the evaluation of program outcomes. Her work is guided by a commitment to constructive alignment, ensuring that learning outcomes, teaching strategies, and assessment practices work together to support student success and professional competence.

Her interests include curriculum governance, educational development, program evaluation, and faculty teaching and learning support. She values collaborative approaches that strengthen educational quality while reflecting the diverse needs of learners, communities, and the nursing profession.

Through her work, Hilary contributes to the development of programs that are learner-centred, socially accountable, and responsive to the changing healthcare landscape.
