Biography

Debbie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996 from the University of Saskatchewan (USask). She has taught with the college for over two decades serving in various roles, including lecturer, instructor, immunization specialist, and course coordination. Debbie’s work and passion is in community nursing working in First Nations, urban and rural settings. She considers herself lucky to have been involved in so many areas of community health including sexual health, pre- and post-natal care, school health, outreach, food security, health promotion, maternal child health, communicable disease, and youth mentorship. Debbie's ongoing work in community nursing allows her to bring real-world experiences and community insights into her teaching, enhancing the education provided to her students while reinforcing the college's community ties.
