Biography

Cheryl Cummings is an instructor with the University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing. After graduating from USask with a nursing degree her initial focus was on medical-surgical nursing and homecare, and then critical care nursing in Calgary, Alberta.

Cheryl transitioned into education when she began teaching nursing for the University of Calgary and then continuing and distance education. She has also shared her expertise by teaching medical-surgical concepts to nurses as far as Siberia using remote technology

Cheryl's academic journey includes the completion of her Master of Nursing degree from USask and certifications in critical care nursing, nursing education, and clinical instruction.

Throughout her career, Cheryl has not limited her teaching to a single domain. She has imparted knowledge in various settings, including labs, clinicals, health assessment courses, and high acuity nursing. Recently, she delved into interprofessional education, instructing pharmacists and medical students in the intricacies of injections and health assessment techniques.
