Dr. Jill Bally Receives Research Excellence Award
Congratulations to Dr. Jill Bally, the 2026 recipient of the College of Nursing Research Excellence Award.
The Nursing Unit for Research and Scholarship Excellence (NURSE) at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing is proud to announce Dr. Jill Bally (BSN'90, BA'93, MN'06, PhD'13) as the recipient of the Research Excellence Award.
Research Excellence Award in Innovations in Health Systems and Education Research
This award recognizes a faculty member in the College of Nursing who has shown the highest level of excellence and had a significant impact in Innovations in Health Systems and Education Research.

This award recognizes a faculty member in the College of Nursing who has shown the highest level of excellence and has had significant impact in one of the College of Nursing signature areas – Community-Engaged Health and Nursing Research, Health Equity Research, or Innovations in Health Systems and Education Research.
Excellence can be in the form of research that is rigorous, inclusive, and conducted in ways that meaningfully integrate a diversity of perspectives, disciplines, and methods to maximize impact and benefit to society.
“I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to Dr. Bally. The College of Nursing is proud of Dr. Bally’s scholarly work such as Keeping Hope Possible and other knowledge transfer activities exemplifying research that is innovative, compassionate, and responsive to community needs. Dr. Bally’s outstanding contributions to nursing science and dedication to improving pediatric and family health outcomes locally and globally have earned her this well-deserved recognition,” said College of Nursing Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Louise Racine (PhD).
Bally was recognized during the College of Nursing Research Excellence celebration held in May.
