The University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing is home to the Florence Nightingale medicine chest, a historical nursing artifact dating back to the Crimean War.

Florence Nightingale (1820 –1910) was a British nurse, English social reformer, statistician, and the founder of modern nursing.

This week as part of National Nursing Week and today on Florence Nightingale’s birthday, we launch a section on our website celebrating this artifact.
