Recruitment for Prince Albert and distributed sites
The College of Nursing is seeking individuals to act as standardized patients (SPs) for the bedside assessment exams this term (also known as OSCE). Assessments involve basic (non-invasive) head-to-toe vital signs and a series of questions for second year students to demonstrate fundamental physical assessment skills in a simulated setting.
- November 26 & December 3, 2024 for all sites
- Starting at 08:30 (end time varies)
Requirements
- Depending on the station, you may be required to wear shorts and a tank top. Patient gowns will be provided.
- Nursing students in their third or fourth year of study are encouraged to participate but must ensure no academic or clinical conflicts will result.
Please Note: Positions are filled on a first-come, first-get basis. If you are selected, we will contact you to confirm availability. If you do not hear back, we appreciate your interest and encourage you to sign up for the next OSCE season.
Compensation
- $50 for 1-2 hours
- $100 for 3-5 hours
- $150 for over 5 hours
- $25 for ‘on call’ with regular payment as above if needed to step in.
