Biography
Dr. Campbell completed her Diploma in Nursing at George Brown College in Toronto, followed by a BScN from the University of Victoria, a MN from the University of Saskatchewan, and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Alberta.
Dr. Campbell has over 25 years of experience as a nurse in multi-disciplinary teams in settings ranging from large urban centers to remote northern outposts providing acute care, primary care, and community health services. She has been with the University of Saskatchewan since 2008 and has taught a multitude of courses, lately focusing on NURS 200: Nursing Foundations, Perspectives, and Influences; NURS 205: Research for Evidence Informed Practice; and NURS 440: Health Systems and Policy Development in a Global Context.
As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Campbell is committed to the scholarship of teaching and learning, that leads to academic excellence and student success. She enjoys being on graduate student committees where she continues to assist the next generation of nurse leaders and educators. As of late her research has focused on the effect the NCLEX has on nursing education in Canada and nursing entry-to-practice requirements in peer countries.

- Issues with the introduction of the NCLEX into the Canadian context with a particular interest in how this is affecting Indigenous students
- Nurse entry-to-practice requirements in peer countries
- Integration of advanced practice nurses into long-term care
- Older cancer patients who experience falls
