Overview and Workshop Objectives
This full day workshop for NPs & Family Practitioners addresses the insertion of IUDs and pessaries. Successful completion of this course includes:
- review of the anatomy and physiology
- review of assessment and techniques
- discussion of current IUD options for patients
- indications and contraindications for IUD insertion
- demonstration of techniques for insertion
- discussion of appropriate follow up care
